Mitchell Streichhirsch
Mitchell was brought onto the project immediately after the fire and has accumulated a wealth of knowledge about both the property, the Ray Kappe house, and the Malibu rebuild process. He is available to help navigate the process for the new owner as well as assist prospective buyers in understanding and visualizing the amazing potential of this project.
After years of shaping New York City’s high-end residential landscape, Mitchell returned to Los Angeles in 2024, bringing a wealth of experience in designing and executing sophisticated homes. As a former partner and owner of ICD Workshop in NYC, he led multi-million-dollar renovations in some of the city’s most coveted buildings, including Tribeca’s 25 North Moore and the historic 300 Central Park West.
Before ICD, he honed his craft in Los Angeles as a lead designer and project architect at Assembledge+. His work there contributed to significant single-family home designs, including a project recently featured in Architectural Digest. His career has also included roles at Kelly Wearstler, ICRAVE, and Steven Learner Studio—firms known for seamlessly blending architecture and interiors, a philosophy he continues in his own practice.
Mitchell’s approach centers on trust, communication, and collaboration. He believes the best projects start with a great dialogue and are built on strong personal relationships.
Jason Metoyer
Jason Metoyer of D Miles Development was brought on immediately after the Palisades fire to lead the reconstruction efforts, bringing decades of experience in luxury residential development throughout Southern California and its coastal communities. A fourth-generation contractor and craftsman, Metoyer has been immersed in the construction industry for over 20 years. Since 2002, he has collaborated with some of Los Angeles’ most respected architects, designers, and tradespeople, honing a reputation for excellence and integrity. In 2008, he founded D Miles Development with a vision to deliver homes that reflect both superior craftsmanship and timeless elegance.
D Miles Development stands out in the high-end custom home building industry by prioritizing quality, transparency, and communication. The company is committed to hiring only the best subcontractors and suppliers, recognizing that the foundation of a successful project lies in realistic budgeting, on-time completion, and thorough post-project follow-up. After years of working under other contractors on LA’s West Side, Jason realized that to maintain his exacting standards, he needed to lead his own company. That realization led to the creation of D Miles Development, where the results speak for themselves—a glimpse of which can be seen on their website, showcasing the luxurious homes that define their portfolio.
